The Koi Wool Gilet is a versatile layering item that combines function and tradition. Designed in a regular fit, it comes with two patch front pockets, a chest pocket for essentials and branded Corozo buttons – a natural detail that underlines the craftsmanship of Blue de Gênes.
Made from 100% boiled wool, Koi continues a centuries-old textile heritage. Boiled wool is created by subjecting knitted wool to heat and moisture, which shrinks and compresses the fibers into a dense yet supple material. The result is a naturally water-repellent, wind-resistant and durable fabric that was historically valued in alpine regions for its ability to provide warmth and protection in harsh conditions. Today, it remains highly valued for its unique texture, insulating properties and longevity.
